From France 2, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy got a much better reception in the UK than in France. A nice summary of the very packed two days for the Sarkozys, with an emphasis on the First Lady. The kiss in the segment is a nice, romantic finalé to the piece.
I’d watch this sort of ad—it’d beat half the junk on TV today. And the machismo would certainly get us fellas buying Cadbury’s Milk Tray chocolates for our ladies.
One thing I like about the Poms is when they compose a jingle, they keep it. For years. Centuries, even. In a few hundred years’ time, a robot Nanette Newman will be doing the dishes and soaking her hands in mild green Fairy Liquid.
Mind you, if Nanette Newman actually did soak her hands in Fairy Liquid to keep them soft, I am sure Bryan Forbes would have had her committed.
Unless those hands actually did stay soft … the way men like them.
Here are three that are a tad earlier, but with the same jingle and premise.
