I seem to remember it pouring down with rain on Good Friday, but not this year.
There are some lovely and a few unusual homes at Owhiro Bay, for starters. The not-so-little Ford Fiesta is to the right of the pic. That’s a cloudless sky and that speck in the middle is a plane, not a UFO. And not everything at Owhiro Bay is pleasant. Look at this typesetting! FF Fago oldstyle numerals with an all-cap composition! Euck.That autumn weather is coming in. I had to wear a scarf today. Here’s what the clouds were doing to the north yesterday: to the naked eye they almost looked CGIed in the scene. Doug, our photographer who was visiting us, called them ‘doom clouds’.
The fog that delayed all those flights in Auckland on Friday didn’t seem too bad in the morning. A view from my apartment there:
I only really noticed it when heading out west for the Ford Focus photo shoot. On the way, I spotted this lovely Ford Consul Mk II: I couldn’t see any rust on this car: it was beautifully maintained. And no, I have no idea why this place is called Koala Auto Services since koalas are not native to this country.Isn’t it far too early to be nostalgic for a Beverly Hills, 90210 revival?
American networks don’t think so: it’s back in the (northern) autumn, called 90210 and produced by Rob Thomas (who’s also doing the US version of Outrageous Fortune, called Outrageous Behavior).

Normally revivals take some 20 years though they seem to come around the time of Hollywood writers’ strikes.
And will fans of the old watch the new if it doesn’t have returning stars? That would be like Grease 2 not having Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta.
