Vox’s YouTube conduit down?

Comments

That's not necessarily a bad thing, if one is handy with the Embed feature and/or HTML (I recommend a HTML/WYSIWYG Greasemonkey script).

I had problems with YouTube/Google when I regularly wrote reviews for WHM-- as I told you, for one, Vu had to switch search engines. Warner Music Group threw their weight around hard and I can't help but wonder if our being dropped from the Google search engine was because I have that Monday Monster Mashup group, which is full of illegit content.

If the YouTube conduit is down, I say people should strongly consider Vimeo, perhaps permanently. Videos that were removed at YouTube, or so I've seen so far, have remained at Vimeo. You can probably figure some of the reasons why.
I rarely embed, because I like how Vox indexes what we import. But I might do actual uploads to Vox from now, as it seems we have one fewer choice.
I promise we are working on this. I'm so sorry that it's broken.
Thanks for looking into this, Daisy. I was worried when I didn’t see anything on the Team Vox blog.

About Me

From October 28, 2009, I can no longer get a compose screen on Vox without waiting between 15 minutes and two days of loading and refreshing. Consequently, from December 2009, this blog will no longer be (and can no longer be) regularly updated. I’m a patient man, but having regular six-hour load times for a single web page is a bit too much. Please contact me at the links below.
