US Life on Mars ends on a cliffhanger

[this is good]
I thought this was a great episode --- it kept me guessing throughout (I haven't watched the original BBC version...). Originally, I thought -- crap, Sam's going to have to watch his Dad get axed by the Mob... and they did a good job of keeping you wondering if Vic was a loser/patsy or really criminal.

I've really grown to like Gretchen Mol in this character.

And we're going to have to wait!?!? Arghh!
It was very good. I think if the Americans had the full 59-minute running time of the original, a few things wouldn’t need to be uttered by the actors to save time. The producers have done well.
One big difference was when Vic pointed his gun at Sam. In the original, the noise from the life support machines in 2006 got louder when he did that, and Sam was getting excited about waking up. We didn’t see Vic again in the original, but I have a feeling we will see him again in the remake.
Gretchen Mol is great. I hope she has a career renaissance.
