I like not being able to visit a shop during Good Friday, Easter Day and Christmas Day because they are closed. Come to think of it, I used to love having no ads on telly on a Sunday. I know: under a Labour government, we should expect anything based in religion to be scrapped. But I still like that idea of having no pressure to go out, and chilling. Whether you believe in Christ or not, Happy Easter and enjoy your break.

We went to the beach this afternoon and as far as the eye could see were people, just enjoying time with their families. I think it's really important that we keep these days, we should be able to survive without consumerism for 3.5 days a year. I'd love to see a shop-free day once a month, to be honest.

How I agree! Twelve days a year won’t kill us, and it will probably be paid leave. Why not?
