That stuff you pitch just hasn’t got a cure

People really think the US screwed up The Office? Really? I couldn't even make it through the pilot of the UK version. Coupling, yes. We screwed that up but good. I hated the US version and found the UK version (mostly) funny. But Ricky Gervais' brilliance aside, I definitely was not a fan of the UK Office.
There are some who think that, yes—when I go to the Life on Mars groups and the US remake is raised, The Office is quite often brought up. Personally, I treat the two as different shows which is why I am not too concerned about The Office or Life on Mars. However, Married for Life and The Upper Hand were facsimiles of the American originals, right down to the set design (mirrored, I believe, but otherwise identical) so I could not help but treat them as inferior versions.
You never know. It might just work ;)

I am reserving judgement till I see the show, but I thought the Americans might want to get their own back after all the attacks on their remakes of British shows …!
