My law school tips from over a decade ago, shared with an acquaintance yesterday:
A technique I used to use was to typeset my notes in three columns, and use bolds of headings, etc. Then, each page would have a different look. Once I remembered where the headings were on each page, I could visualize what was written beneath them. It worked better than single-column pages because they all look the same and provide no visual cues.
She thinks it works, hence my sharing it!
