Robert de Niro as Elmo
After the Joe Pesci–Robert de Niro Bert and Ernie clip, I had to post this one. In this, Robert de Niro actually does play Elmo (seriously).
It’s quite cute and de Niro does make fun of his roles in Taxi Driver and Raging Bull in one of his lines. It’s not unlike that time he played Fearless Leader in The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and said to Rene Russo and Jason Alexander: ‘You talking to me? You talking to me? You must be talking to me, because there’s nobody else here.’
