Richards and the Juice: a week where being anti-Semitic is worse than being anti-black

Hey Jack - howzit?
I find your juxtoposition of Oh Jay and Kramer faciniating. Here is my take on both:
OJ got his book pulled because America collectively said "Enough already with the bad taste." I think Murdoch was swayed by the prospect of people realizing that his corporation was publishing the book while his broadcast company was on the warpath against it.
Michael Richards is a low talent schtick comedian. When you got nothin' and you get heckled, the first thing that comes to mind comes out of your mouth. Truly no lack of control. The worst kind of performance.
Not being Jewish or Black, I can't speak with authority on the tensions between the two races. But there is deep seated animosity between the two and always has been.
Here in America, anti-semitism is on the rise. Richard Krauthamer opined a while back that besides Zionist Jews, the only other support from America for Isreal comes from Zionist Christians. The now in power Democratic party is luke-warm over support for Isreal. He also mentioned that the last time six-million Jews were in one place it was Europe and the time was the early 1940s and a madman was using them as a scapegoat. Now the same is occurring in the Middle-East. Now I'm rambling about foreign policy.
Bottom line is that I think you are right. Many Americans actually discount the Holocaust and the notion about reparations to Blacks actually has some legs.
Fascinating, Paul—thank you. I don’t know the issues that well and you are geographically closer to them, so I learned something. And Mr Richards has exposed himself to be a poor comedian.
