[this is good]
Love the pants-down logo. Truth really is stranger than fiction.

Ju Ming statue looks good too - not bizarre but touching. In a military, arty kinda way.
Thanks, Simon. From what I gather, Ju Ming does the original moulds using sponge, which probably accounts for the chunkiness.
This looks like a fun and infomative trip. The phallic symbol really cracks me up.Good thing that you weren't in San Francisco Jack! LOL
I’m sure there would have been parts of the City that would have appreciated the giant wiener!
Nice shots. I've been to Taichung twice but didn't spend enough time there. Taiwan is an interesting place alright. Hope you didn't get the post-'49ers fired up about the Independence question ;-)
Boy, there were some people who really hated the KMT there, more than the Japanese. That was a surprise.
I got into a big argument with someone at work once over the KMT and how they "took over" Taiwan and the military government. It didn't seem to hurt our working relationship.
It surprised me to learn how much anti-KMT misinformation there was out there and to compare any of their deeds to the Japanese or even the Maoists. Crazy. But Democratic supporters were pretty civil and they never held it against me that I was a KMTer (as most overseas Chinese?).
