QotD: winter or summer solstice

Today you will either have the longest day of the year, or the shortest, depending on where you are. What will you do to celebrate the solstice?

I am grateful Vox picked my question, but kind of expected that it would appear after the solstice was over since we are 21 hours ahead of US Pacific Standard Time. With the crap weather it was a day indoors for me, writing a speech, the only outside journey being for petrol and the supermarket.

Congrats on getting on QotD!

I stayed inside and watched another foot of snow fall. Two feet in three days (.66 meters give or take)

Thanks, Panda! And Jeff, I am happy to report that after a lousy, long winter, it is over 70 here today and totally cloudless. (Midsummer was crappy this year.)

Congrats on the QotD! I'm with RobinZ on this one. Does going to work count as a celebration?
