QotD: how I ended up here

Comments

I grew up in a Los Angeles suburb in the 1950’s- 60’s. I really love the weather there as it’s so pleasant to engage in outdoor activities. Then in 1987 I moved my family to Tucson which is hot 8 months of the year. I moved back to L.A. in 2000 and worked there for 5 years. It is an exciting place to live and realized that it was still “my home town” and always will be. But the real estate inflation made my head spin and after my parents passed away I returned to Tucson.

In the middle of winter, a place like Tucson sure sounds great, Zak. Los Angeles is nice for a visit, I found, but I am not sure if I could live there without hanging out with my mates (many of them not native Angelinos) regularly.
