Photographs of Clinton highlight slick marketing

[this is good]
Jack, it is going to be interesting. The Democratic Party candidate will have a good shot at getting in the White House, because President Bush has done a poor job on several fronts.
A lot of my GOP friends told me, two years ago, that they were really looking forward to ’12—not ’08. It has made this race more exciting to watch—a year ago I wouldn’t have been as captivated, given who the likely choices were then.
The Clintons are masters at campaigning. The overheated stock markets world wide and whether the US goes into a recession will have more impact on the election than photo opps and propaganda.
I hope some logic comes into play but I also know voters (not just American voters) like the perception of a winner when it comes to these races. The 1990 National victory over Labour came not because Jim Bolger was a good debater; I say the fact that the party’s campaign ad was shot on film and Labour’s on videotape played a part. National looked like it had won.
