Philip Glenister on Loose Ends
Radio 4’s Loose Ends does have an interview with Phil Glenister, DCI Gene Hunt in Life on Mars. Click through via this link for a few more days before it’s replaced.
He mentions that he may appear in a spin-off called Ashes to Ashes, set in the 1980s, in Miami Vice style, playing the same character. There should be some fascination for this, a post-Sweeney, post-Professionals era.
For our American friends, Life on Mars, redone by Mr David E. Kelley and the action shifted to Los Angeles, starts as a pilot on ABC in June 2007. I think we should keep an open mind, considering the Yanks did pretty well with Quantum Leap.
