Obama won South Carolina primary not because of blacks

This is good insight. Clinton is favored by the media. Obama is the outsider. But, a lot of people like an outsider. This race will be quite interesting. Race has been interjected in this election. I am not really sure it will be a factor in the end. However, I think Edwards will suck votes away from Clinton in many states. This may hand Obama the win in the primary.

I wonder if Obama's church will become an issue. I looked at his church and their website. I also belong to his denomination "The United Church of Christ". It is a highly diverse denomination. Members come various backgrounds and faith journeys. We are different in many ways including: theological issues, political issues, and ethical issues. But my church is in California, while his is in Chicago. Time will tell. I have provided the link.

In the general election, Mitt Romney, the outsider will pose a real challenge for Obama. Because, he does not have a history of being an insider. He is a fresh face with good presentation skills. McCain on the other hand, can be beaten easily, because he is an insider. Public confidence in insiders is quite low this year. President Bush and the insiders must stand on a poor record with regards to Iraq war management, immigration, health care for veterans, social security, and the economy.

CFS, now that's a classic!

Hillary Clinton has so many skeletons in her closet that she could fill Forrest Lawn Cemetery with the bones. As far as the issues- well I’m not a Democrat. I have observed that Obama’s TV ads here in Arizona are positive and up beat.

Timothy, I agree. When I think back to the 2004 campaign, George W. Bush better gave the image of the everyman, more representative of Americans than John Kerry. This can play well (e.g. Muldoon in 1975 in New Zealand, campaigning as ‘the Ordinary Bloke’; his successor, Lange, in 1984; and Clinton in 1992). The difference is that cynicism is much greater today in the US than in 1992, which bodes well for both Gov. Romney and Sen. Obama. I have a feeling these will be the two candidates, sitting now in January 2008.
Zak, the Arkancide matter alone can fill that cemetery up!

"We are already seeing headlines about voting machine rigging."

there were similar accusations in Iowa, I liked the Clintons but i feel they've lost a sense of direction, they were so sure of winning the nomination, Iowa shocked them, i think thats why we saw tears in New Hampshire..

You may well be right, Morell. If these accusations are warranted, then by all means they should be voiced, but I doubt rigging could account for the sort of figures Sen. Obama got. It does feel like “sore loser” talk to me from the Clinton camp.
Bill is getting some of the blame but I don’t think he should.
