No sound

My sound card is dead. Or at least I think it is. The music coming out of it sounds fractured and there’s massive interference with microphone recordings. If anyone knows anything about these gadgets, please let me know. Windows’ troubleshooters are useless.

Gosh, I have no clue. I am sorry friend. Maybe your speakers are shot?

Hi Randy: it turns out it was the microphone alone—the speakers healed themselves. I will never understand gadgets. They are not logical.

Hmmmmm. Yeah...gadgets are messy.

I just wish whomever designed them would do so from the point of view of us regular people. It’s why the iMac was such a hit—still quite complex but it looked reasonably easy to use.

My sound card is bad on my computer at work.... It annoys the crap out of me when a friend sends me a tune and I have to wait until I get home to listen to it....

Glad to hear yours are back up!
