Miss Universe New Zealand 2007: from the night

Comments

I have had quite a giggle about TVNZ pushing Paul Holmes' presence so aggressively. I can't imagine anyone switching channels in order to see him prancing about, but then I am probably not their target demographic.

To me, the man is not a star. He may have been once, but not any more. It is a cruel thing to say, but when his Prime TV show did so poorly, then TVNZ should realize that in this country, it is the show, not the “celebrity”, that gets the viewers watching.
I might watch the odd one because of Megan and Brendon, but then … I might not!

I've never forgiven him for leaving Hinemoa Elder for the girl who put her knickers in his pocket, whatever her name was. I'm awfully cut and dried like that.

Hine was so sweet (based on her photo, screen presence and what I read—I never met her!). You are right, though, based on what we know of that matter.
