Life on Mars trailer—the American version

Comments

I don't think I'll ever get used to Jason O'Mara playing Sam Tyler....I'm such a die hard John Simm fan that it will always seem a little weird.
I just kept laughing through the trailer, which I am sure is not the correct reaction to have! I agree that John is the definitive Sam and his portrayal will not be equalled. Jason will have to do it his way, just as Steve Carell does not ape Ricky Gervais in The Office.
True enough! It definitely seems like the promo team was playing up a "comedic hijinks" angle in the trailer. Welcome to Life on Mars, the comedy!

There was a sense of a pisstake, wasn’t there? Maybe it was the easiest way to sell it to the general American audience not familiar with the concept. I hope the actual programme is deeper. Perhaps the idea is to lower expectations, then wow the audience with the acting.
[this is good]

LOL

*I can't stop laughing*

Hahahaha...

Terrible, isn’t it? They redid the show because the (unaired) pilot was so terrible. The finished result wasn’t too bad, though the ending was rather abrupt.
