Judge Pearson reduces claim against Korean family—he “only” seeks $54 million

Comments

This is unbelievable! How is this even legal? 54 million dollars the loss of their business, and incredible disrespect. for a pair of pants? No, that is wrong.
I can’t remember how Judge Pearson worked it out, but it was something like how he would have to get a rental car to go to another dry cleaner, plus his inconvenience, etc., and that all added up to $54 million. Yeah, I know. Makes the President’s desire for tort law reform all the more sensible if there are lawsuits like this. I hope this idiot judge gets disbarred.

Perhaps Judge Pearson should run through elementary maths again!

Crazy, isn’t it? Poor Judge Pearson: imagine the humiliation and hurt feelings, not because he has to go to another dry cleaner, but because he has to be seen in a rented Camry! I think he figures that suffering and distress is worth $54 million. (US dollars, too.)
Think it is legal, but quite unnecessary. Come on. It's a pair of slacks! $54 million for that?!

Vindictive arrogant people like him drag the whole country down. The lawsuit should be disallowed and the plaintiff should be held in contempt of court and jailed- but then again I'm neither a lawyer nor a judge.

As I said in an earlier post, Pearson should be upholding the American legal system, not making a mockery of it. This must be an affront to his duty as a judge and a strict interpretation should see him disbarred.

"i feel like I'm taking crazy pills!" [will farrell in zoolander]

wow. I think even Judge Judy is raising an eyebrow and shaking her head saying,"I don't think so."

If only Judge Judy would preside over this case and she can tell her colleague what she thinks of him!
Must've be a really nice pair of pants...
Well, he cried in court on the 11th to show how distraught he was.
