It’s surreal thing
It’s refreshing to see New Zealand director Andrew Niccol reunited with actor Al Pacino in Dali & I: the Surreal Story, to be released this year.
As some of you know, I am a bit of a Niccol fan, and loved his earlier movie Simone. Its DVD was the first I had owned, and I was one of the few people who drove to Paraparaumu some years ago to the only theatre in the country which released that film.
Pacino portrays Salvador Dali, which I think would be perfect for the actor.
I just hope this flick gets a decent release. Niccol’s Lord of War was never widely released, and Simone made it to one cinema here. New Line might complain about not getting much dough off Simone, but that’s its own fault for its appalling lack of promotion.
