Heard back from the old NZ group

Comments

I always thought it goes like this before one is banned. First a caution, then a warning then the danger sign is given. Please correct me if I am wrong?
I would probably give a caution and then move after that, so I accept Ellipse’s explanation that she mistakenly thought I had been given a warning. I guess the number of chances one gives depends on the person, Xmangerm.
Wow, the power of the "ban button" glad you got it cleared up though...hopefully all can move past it now, though if it were me, I tend to hold grudges - bad trait I know.
Damn touchy I'd say! I wonder if she is a Drama Queen in real life? Glad you came out on top. :)

Well, the good consequence is that there are now two groups with different memberships. I liked sending trivial images like that of the Mini and the ducks, but I won’t send them to the old group in case that was one that crossed the line. My view is “slice of life” shots like that count as being relevant if they were shot here; maybe Ellipse saw it differently.
Wyldreams, I know how you feel, and I sure can’t blame you! I can’t pretend I won’t change my posting habits to the old group—like the Avidiva post yesterday. I would have sent that to the old group prior to yesterday; now I am worried it would be slammed for irrelevance even though the act took place in New Zealand with a New Zealand musical act. (Yes, but does it talk about New Zealand?)
Zak, I guess when we are online, sometimes we do have the equivalent of an itchy trigger finger. The way Ellipse phrased her email to me, she didn’t sound like a drama queen and her comments here have always been quite nice. But I do now like the option of which NZ group I send things to.
I believe that the old group’s description is inaccurate if there is this line somewhere that we are not that clear about crossing. I think it says something quite open about it being for Kiwis here and overseas—well, I might be an immigrant but I sure as heck count, and have done since citizenship in 1980! Everything I ever sent there had a connection to New Zealand, whether it was the downloadable Lucire supplement (it’s published here and it’s a New Zealand-HQed title) or a picture of the Mini Cooper (slice of life Down Under). I sense that they only—and I welcome being corrected—want things that directly discuss the country, while I see the new group as being far broader.

Jack: Just start flaming The Workers Revolutionary Party of NZ. LOL
