Leverage Season One Character Recap: Sophie Devereaux

I had a moan about this yesterday on Twitter and Facebook, but seeing another ad for Leverage on the NZ City site brings it all back. Prime is promoting this TNT show a lot, but just as with TV One and Jekyll, they miss the fact that lead actress Gina Bellman is a Kiwi. Come on, folks, how about a bit of national pride? Our Gina is doing well!

Interesting series. Reminds me a bit of "Hustler", which I'm a big fan.

Do you mean Hustle? I feel Leverage is Hustle-lite. It tries to be Hustle, right down to using flashbacks and something vaguely resembling a 1970s’ score. But Timothy Hutton is no Adrian Lester!
One plus with Leverage is that it has a 40-something actress as the femme fatale, and I think Ms Bellman does a great job. She seems more credible as a grifter than Kelly Adams (who is still very good) in Hustle.

I watched the first episode of Leverage last week. It was intriguing enough that I'm going to watch again tonight. I didn't know about the kiwi connection though.

I missed it tonight. I watched a little and was tempted to keep looking at Gina Bellman, but had started on TV2 getting bored by Messrs Chan and Tucker.
