Did Clinton have a plan?
Now, if former president Bill Clinton had been more dignified on Sunday, he may have been able to discuss some of the issues that are on this BBSNews page today. Both the 9/11 Commission Report and Dick Clarke’s book have parts that back his actions against al-Qaeda up, more than the Secretary of State. Yet “losing it” on air is not a good look for Clinton. I have to say, without reading this article, I would have bought Dr Rice’s comments totally, because the former president could not act, well, presidential.
Had he remained calm, he could have indeed helped his wife’s Senate chances, as well as people in his party. But with his prelude on Fox News Sunday, and Sen. Clinton’s attack on President Bush today, it portrays the Clintons as squawking nutters.
Chill out, please, if you want your words to be heard.
I suspect Americans will switch off: they are tired of partisanship, and acting like idiots just makes them hate politicians more.
Oh, I had better not give the Clintons any more tips. Dick Cheney just called. This apparently may jeopardize my chances of getting the Bush twins for a Lucire cover and I can only get them back if I do some Jimmy Carter jokes.
Shouldn’t be hard.
