Bush: Mandela is dead because of Saddam Hussein
From Invisiblesparks’ blog today: President Bush says Saddam Hussein killed the Mandelas. I don’t know what Nelson has to say, but I can see Hillary Clinton rolling her eyes as she campaigns.
Don’t blame George W. Remember when we were kids and our parents told us fairy tales about ogres killing princes and the like? Maybe his father told him one about Saddam Hussein killing Nelson Mandela. ‘And that, son, is why you must go to Iraq.’
OK, so Dubya was told that story when he was 45 years old. We’re never too old for our parents to tell us a story.
Seriously, folks, let’s let the South Africans have the last word: ‘We know that his statement was made in the context of the difficulty in finding Iraqis capable of resolving the conflict in their country.’
Not that you will find it in the American, French or Canadian MSM (I didn’t), someone asked the President a question along the lines of ‘Where are the Mandelas in Iraq?’, meaning, where are all the people in Iraq who are the equivalent of Nelson Mandela during the apartheid struggle? This was his response.
I expect to see this on ‘Great Moments in Presidential Speeches’.

Gee I missed this Jack, I'm glad you are here to keep me up to date. The Mandelas are a little too Red for me. I would most likely have voted for Mangosuthu Buthelezi (IPF) were I a citizen of South Africa.
I have to agree on RSA and the former President’s overall economic and political stance. And the above example is probably a very good one on media bias, because other than the South African report which I linked, I could find none that expressed a potential alternative explanation or placed the President’s comments into their full context.
